Prepare for the local product you selected
Clerk history/disposition request
For the mail route, prepare the defendant name, date of birth, case number and year, plus a self-addressed stamped envelope. The Clerk lists $7 for certified copies on this route and an extra $2 per year, per name when the case/year must be searched. These are the linked service instructions, not a universal price for every court order.
Sheriff clearance request
Provide the subject’s full name and other names, race, sex and date of birth, plus the requester’s name, address and telephone number. MDSO lists $5 per clearance letter. Public-counter visits require an appointment; online requests use the Sheriff Public Records Center.
Individual court document
First identify the filing that proves the required point: for example, the disposition rather than an initial charge. The certified-copy service warns that unknown case/year details can add search charges. Follow its payment instructions; do not apply sheriff fees to a clerk order.

When forwarding the result, retain the issuing office and case identifier. A local letter does not establish a search of every Florida county; an FDLE summary does not replace the specific certified court document.

Ask about inspection, copies and certification. The city page does not establish a statewide criminal-history service or a general online criminal-record search; do not send this request to a Florida agency.
